Day 4 and the Match Lake continued great form and so too
did Dan Hull who had the top weight with 163lb from peg 1. 2nd was Andy Dearing on peg 19
with 145lb.
Railway saw the lower numbers produce better with the top 3
weights from that section. Top weight
was Stu Elmar with 137lb from peg 16 and 2nd was Dave Harper 124lb
from peg 12. 3rd place to
Steve Jackson on peg 28 with 116lb.
Lee Carver won Colton to continue his strong festival form
with 126lb from peg 7. 2nd
place was Alan Smith with 100lb from peg 39.

Day 3 saw Della pearson win on Railway from peg 42 with
140lb and 2nd on lake was his father John Pearson on peg 28 with
123lb. 3rd place Jason
Forster with 118ln from peg 4.
The match lake turned up good weights again with half the
anglers getting over 100lb. Top weight
on the day was Stu Elmar with a tremendous 197lb from peg 23. 2nd place was Lee Carver gaining
him 2 section points with 182lb and 3rd was Marti Jermyn with 134lb
on peg 19.
Colton had a lull after a great start and top weight was
from Dan Hull with 75lb from peg 7.
Martin Allen was 2nd with 68lb from peg 39.

Day two of the festival and some more great weights. Top angler on
the day was Lee Carver with 173 – 12 from peg 48. Lee caught on the deck at 14mts on pellet and
corn and had some fish mid water and down the margin. 2nd on the lake was Dan Hull from
peg 2 with 171 – 11 with most of his fish coming form the right hand margin on
corn and hemp. 3rd place was
Steve Porter form peg 42 with 145 – 06 from peg 46. Steve was fishing on the deck at 14.5mts and
shallow on pellet. There were 8 weights
over 100lb.
Colton top weight was from Della Pearson from peg 2 with 107
– 11. Close behind was Stu Elmar with
106 – 07 from peg 34. Jarvo came 3rd
with 103 – 02 from peg 39.
The Match Lake also had 8 weights over 100lb. Top weight was from Barford Tackle’s Kevin
Nicholson which puts him in second place with his two section wins. He caught on pellet waggler and straight led
from peg 7 and had 139 – 12. 2nd
place was John Pearson on peg 30 with 123 – 13 and 3rd was Ian
Stripp next door on peg 28 with 121 – 05.
Lee Carver leads the festival with perfect section points
and 321lb 5ozs. Kevin Nicholson is also
on 2 points with 255lb 3ozs. Early days
and with dropping your worst result it can all change so quickly! At least it didn’t rain ALL day today!

The 5 day festival started well and despite the rain all day all lakes
fished well. 37 anglers are fishing this year in 3 groups over the Match
Lake, Colton and Railway Lakes. Fishing 5 days and dropping the worst
result.
Thanks to local angler Simon Smith from Norfolk Van Sales.co.uk an extra
Ł450 was spread over the daily payouts and the Random Pairs. Big thanks Norfolk Van Sales!!
Top weight on the day was from on form Adam Major who had 185lb 15 ozs
from peg 28 on Railway lake. Adam caught on Method
feeder to the island with 8m pellet hook bait. 2nd on the lake and overall on the festival
was John Pearson who had 148lb 6ozs from peg 16 on Railway. John fished pellet shallow at 12mts. 3rd on Railway was Lee Carver who fished peg 46 and had 147lb 9ozs on the method feeder with pellet hook bait and down the edge with maggot
over groundbait.
Top weight on Colton was Clive Eversfield who had 101lb 9ozs from peg 31
and he had most of his fish on corn down the left hand edge. Andrew Dearing had 92lb 10ozs from peg 4 fishing the method across to
the far bank.
The match lake saw Steve Jackson win from peg 23 fishing chopped worm
and caster long on the deck and he had 130lb 1ozs. 2nd was our very own Kevin Nicholson who
drew peg 1 and kept it simple and fished a straight lead where you normally
wouldn’t cast (his words) , towards peg 29’s platform, with an 8m pellet hook
bait and loose feeding a few pellets over the top. Sticking with that method all match Kevin came 2nd on the lake with 115lb 7ozs.

Fishing 5 days dropping the worst result. The lakes will be split into 2 sections for points and payouts. Results decided on weight in case of a draw.
The cafe and shop are open from 7.30am. Please book breakfast or bait on 01603 759624.
Draw is at Barford each day at 9.15am with the fishing between 11am and 4pm.
