Fish on the Move and Feeding!

Posted by: Sarah Thomson, 14th April 2010 09:38AM

All the lakes fished really well at the weekend.  On the match lakes the carp seem to have started coming on corn hook baits and banded pellet - with a few good weights coming by fishing mid-water. Soft expandas are still working well along with maggot.

On the Day tickets lakes there's been some nice carp out along with reports of 3 nice Tench out of the Pleasure Lake that were 6lb and the Crucian's have been feeding well on the Top Lake.

Happy Easter!  Since the good ole british weather has done us proud again we are planning to open on BH Monday, which appears to be the better day.   We are open as normal on Saturday and Sunday.

This is a one off  only as we are normally closed Mondays and Bank Holidays.

Gates open at 8am.  Hope to see you over the weekend.

Personal Best Tench

Posted by: Sarah Thomson, 2nd April 2010 10:41AM

Phil Haynes (Wymondham) got his personal best Tench last Saturday from peg 31 on the Pleasure Lake.  He was fishing a soft hook pellet over pellet and the Tench weighed in at 6lb 1oz.

Both lakes are fishing well at the moment with soft hook pellet, maggot or corn being the baits.
